KATIE CIVITELLI grew up in Meriden, Connecticut. Reading, writing, and music have been her lifelines since she was a child and she had always been told she had a gift for storytelling. She graduated from Middlesex Community College in 2015 with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies, focusing on English Literature and History.

She is a big fan of Fantasy and Historical Fiction novels. When people ask why, she loves explaining how fantasy makes more sense than reality because in fantasy everything, such as emotions, situations and environmental factors, can be explained and, most times, resolved. Katie’s brain always worked best imaginatively and she was the child who would fight dragons using sticks as swords in her backyard. She believes adults should be able to fight their dragons as well and hopes her books help them remember how.

Katie currently lives in Wethersfield, Connecticut with her partner, Michael, and their Bernedoodle, Floki.
